A Succession Planning Tool for Small Businesses

Blake Jones, co-founder of Namaste Solar, will share how he converted his company to an employee-owned cooperative and solar electric company with offices in Colorado, New York, and California. He will discuss the "how, when and why" of the conversion and share lessons learned along the way. 

Learn more about worker co-ops and worker ownership at this Indiana Cooperative Development Center succession planning event on August 18,2016. You'll learn how to transition a small business to a worker co-op. 

There is no charge for the conference, but please register so that ICDC can plan appropriately.

What is a worker cooperative? A cooperative enterprise may mean a firm where every worker-owner participates in decision-making in a democratic fashion, or it may refer to one in which management is elected by every worker-owner, and it can refer to a situation in which managers are considered, and treated as, workers of the firm.
