We're a group of community-minded South Philly residents committed to bringing a member-owned grocery store that carries local, high-quality foods at a fair price to our neighborhood. While the end result will be a food store, we’ll be much more. The Co-op will actually be owned by our local community. Unlike many of the national chain stores, we exist to serve our member-owners and by shopping with us you will be supporting your neighbors.
Valley Co-op is a member-owned cooperative that specializes in providing our community with local and healthy products.

Located on beautiful Cortes Island in British Columbia, the Cortes Natural Food Co-op is a member-owned natural foods store and cafe. Thanks to a great deal of community spirit and volunteer service, our co-op was formally incorporated in 2004. In 2011, we opened a bakery and cafe adjoining the store. In 2015, we bought the three acres of land we occupy in downtown Mansons Landing – this is our investment in our community and our commitment to our shared future.
In January 2015, the Steering Committee incorporated under the name “Little Falls Food Co-Op” with the understanding that when we got closer to establishing the store, we would choose the store’s name. At the July community meeting, we announced the name of our future store - The Purple Carrot Market.
