Sustainable Foods Summit: New Horizons for Eco-Labels and Sustainability

Taking place in San Francisco on January 30-31, 2018, the eighth North American edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit will showcase health impacts, sustainable ingredients, and eco-labels. For the first time, the executive summit will discuss the future of health foods and eco-labeled products in a high-level forum.

Although organic & eco-labeled products now comprise over 5 percent of food sales in North America, there are concerns about the future outlook. Will the ‘mainstreaming’ of the organic food market continue? What other eco-labels are emerging? Is more label fragmentation or some degree of harmonization on the horizon?
