The Viroqua Food Co+op has completed construction, doubled in size, and now it’s time to celebrate. The co-op is hosting
a Grand Reopening Celebration Thursday, Nov. 8 through Saturday, Nov. 10, and is located at 609 N. Main St. in Viroqua.

The Viroqua Food Co+op first opened its doors in 1995. In 2005, VFC completed construction of a 4,400 square foot building at its current location on Main Street. Twenty-three years later, the Viroqua Food Co+op has completed its expansion project, doubling the retail space to over 9,200 square feet.

The co-op has doubled the fresh, organic produce section and added hundreds of new products throughout the store. The deli is once again serving delicious soups and hot meals every day and will continue to add ready-to-eat offerings, such as Signature Sandwiches and a Burrito Bar in the days ahead. Enjoy espresso from the coffee bar and house-made baked goods from the bakery case in the new indoor seating area.

The building project also includes an outdoor seating area, new bike racks and a bike repair station, plenty of parking with over 90 stalls, and 130 solar panels on the south-facing roof! An electric car-charging station will be added to the parking lot in the near future.
