Our West 7th store is hiring for a FT Deli Manager!

Location: 1500 West 7th Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102

Schedule: Current shifts available vary, but may include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Provide a wide variety of prepared natural foods
  • Communicate regularly with Deli, Meat, and Cheese staff regarding deliveries and products
  • Work with scanning department to ensure accurate up–to-date prices, shelf tags and signs
  • Schedule hours for department within budgeted goals 
  • Keep all department areas stocked, clean and neat
  • Assist customers with product questions in a prompt, courteous manner
  • Hold regular department meetings
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date price labeling of deli items
  • Meet sales, labor, inventory turns and margin goals for department

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience in a food service environment
  • Experience cooking professionally
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple demands
  • Cultural competency and the commitment to work with diverse populations of employees and other stakeholders
  • Multilingual a plus

Qualified applicants will have excellent customer service skills, good ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands. Retail grocery experience preferred. Must be able to work on feet entire shift, lift 50 pounds, and have predictable and reliable attendance. Work in a safe environment at all times. Follow all appropriate standards with regards to sanitation, safe food handling practices, handling and labeling of organic ingredients, allergen labeling, and special diets.

The majority of our jobs require some weekend and/or evening hours. Additional shifts may be necessary to meet the needs of the department. Evening and weekend flexibility required.
