Our West 7th store is hiring for a Front End Manager!

Qualified applicants will have excellent customer service skills, good ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands. Must be able to work on feet entire shift, lift up to 30 pounds, and have predictable/reliable attendance. Work in a safe environment at all times. Follow all appropriate standards with regards to sanitation, safe food handling practices, handling and labeling of organic ingredients, allergen labeling, and special diets. Take responsibility for all aspects of front end operations. Work to achieve the goals and end policies of the Co-op.

Current days/shifts available vary, but may include day, evening, and weekend hours.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Also responsible for assigned duties of Floor Manager
  • Ensure coverage of Floor Manager shifts
  • Maintain and monitor WIC guidelines with Store Manager to ensure compliance
  • Maintain a schedule that falls within labor budget
  • Ensure accurate handling of all media
  • Ensure proper handling of all Front End transactions at the registers 
  • Keep all department areas stocked, clean, and neat
  • Assist customers with product questions in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Hold regular department meetings
  • Train and supervise staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience
  • Retail grocery and/or customer service experience
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Cultural competency and the commitment to work with diverse populations of employees and other stakeholders
  • Multilingual a plus

The majority of our jobs require some weekend and/or evening hours. Additional shifts may be necessary to meet the needs of the department. Evening and weekend flexibility required.
