HR Manager - As a member of The Food Co-op’s Leadership Team the Human Resources Manager supports our mission by implementing and overseeing a wide range of human resources programs, functions, and initiatives including: Strategic planning, policy development, employment law interpretation, compliance monitoring, supervisory and employee coaching, recruitment/selection, benefit programs, performance management, classification/compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers compensation, health and safety, records management. The position supervises a Human Resources Generalist and the Human Resources Admin Assistant positions. Minimum Requirements for this position: Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent direct experience in Human Resource. Requires intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel. Experience: Demonstrated understanding and experience in administration of employment law, human resources processes and practices in a rapidly changing environment required. Human Resources experience required with 5 years of supervisory/management experience strongly preferred. Human Resources certification, preferred. Retail operations experience, preferred. Retail grocery and/or Co-operative business model experience helpful. Abilities: Excellent customer service skills including the ability to communicate effectively and interact with job applicants, staff, and business partners in a positive manner in person and over the phone. Excellent judgement and decision-making capabilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality with personnel, proprietary, financial, and other sensitive information.
